When technology decided to go against me and give me slaps when maybe I was being a bit too dependent on my smartphone, laptop and hard disk and making my online presence felt in a bit too over bearing manner through Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Whatsapp and when I was crumbling a little bit from my phone not buzzing at least once every ten minutes, I thought the universe was giving me a sign. A sign that I was getting too much attached to these human-made tools, which I had come to treat as an extension of my own body and mind, and worse, into the hands of which I had placed immense power that they exercised over me, my emotions and my life. True, watching movies and series that were otherwise inaccessible for a student with a limited budget student staying in a hostel and looking at pictures of the earth from the International Space Station and reading Bitchmagazine, Slate, Elephant Journal and Feminist Kitchen did inform my choices and broadened my perspectives on the world ...
